2024 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 300 4MATIC
Filed Jun 15, 2026
I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety issue involving my vehicle. For an extended period of time, this vehicle has experienced recurring starting failures. On multiple occasions, the vehicle would not start, requiring service visits to the dealership. Despite repeated repair attempts, the dealership was unable to identify the root cause of the problem and typically performed only software updates. I was repeatedly informed that no specific defect could be found.Recently, the…

My 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB is included in the high-voltage battery fire recall (NHTSA campaign 26V073). The recall states the battery cells may fail internally at a high state of charge, causing an internal short circuit and a potential fire whether the vehicle is parked or being driven, with no advance warning while parked. As interim safety measures, Mercedes-Benz instructed me to limit charging to 80% and to park the vehicle outdoors, away from structures. These restrictions materially impair…

I am reporting a significant safety concern regarding my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB. While my specific VIN has not been included in the current high-voltage battery fire risk recall (NHTSA Campaign 26V073000), my vehicle is a 2023 model that shares the identical high-voltage battery architecture, manufacturing window, and platform design as the approximately 12,000 EQB vehicles officially recalled due to an internal defect that causes sudden, unpredictable battery fires. As a vehicle owner, I am…

The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number 26V073000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted; however the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

MB recall is since Feb 2026 and they neither ready to fix it not ready to provide a proper compensation . The vehicle is currently unusable for the following reasons: 1. Safety Catch-22 (Fire vs. Theft): Due to the fire hazard associated with the current battery recall, I cannot safely charge or store the vehicle in my garage. However, the local Township Police have explicitly advised against keeping the car outside due to high theft risks in the area. Mercedes-Benz has essentially provided a…

Filed May 21, 2026
I received an Important Safety Recall notice (NHTSA Recall ID: 26V073) from Mercedes-Benz USA in March 2026 regarding my 2024 EQB (VIN: [XXX] ). The notice states that the high-voltage battery may fail due to an internal short circuit, potentially causing a vehicle fire while parked or driving. No incident has occurred. This complaint is filed because no remedy is available and no timeline has been provided by the manufacturer. Mercedes-Benz has advised owners to limit charging to 80% and to…

Filed May 16, 2026
This urgent safety issue with the high voltage battery on the 2022 Mercedes EQB has been known to Mercedes since at least July 2025. As of May 15, mercedes tells me I will have a repair scheduled by December 30, 2026. They offer no explanation for the delay. This is unreasonable and unacceptable. I am requesting that the NHSTA inform Mercedes that they must do better to eliminate this known fire hazard, and inform me of the penalties you can impose on Meercedes if they do not complete this…
2025 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 300 4MATIC
Filed May 16, 2026
Since I purchased this electric vehicle, phone conversations that I place through the car have been broadcast on the external speaker. I brought this to the dealership, they acknowledged the problem, but told me they couldn't help because they didn't have another EQB to compare it to. They told me to contact Mercedes customer service. I contacted them by email, and I was repeatedly told (incorrectly) that my vehicle does not have an external speaker. They eventually ignored me. This is both a…

I am requesting that my 2023 Mercedes‑Benz EQB be added to the recall associated with high‑voltage battery safety issues. My vehicle is exhibiting the same symptoms described in NHTSA Recall No. 26V073000, but my VIN is not currently included. I was instructed not to fully charge the vehicle and warned that it may pose a fire hazard if parked inside my garage. These warnings indicate a serious safety defect involving the high‑voltage battery system. The vehicle cannot be safely stored at my…

Compounded Electrical Failures In addition to the battery defect, this specific vehicle has exhibited recurring electrical malfunctions, including: Total failure of the backup cameras and parking sensors. Intermittent failure of the HVAC system (Air Conditioning), critical in the Florida climate. Erratic Autonomous Braking: The vehicle has repeatedly engaged emergency braking while reversing without cause, nearly resulting in multiple collisions. Diminished Utility and Breach of Lease…
